Role Description

Modularity Space is always seeking talented Aerospace Engineers. We are are currently seeking a detail oriented, proficient Aerospace Engineering Interns to assist in the design and implementation of state-of-the-art satellite systems. The ideal candidate will have experience successfully completing complex projects, will be capable of handling a diverse task load, and will be ready to take on new and interesting challenges daily in a fast-paced startup environment. A positive, team-oriented, and proactive attitude is essential.

As an Aerospace Engineering Intern, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks and deliverables that span a vast range of engineering skills and practices. Some of the focus areas of this internship include; designing spacecraft systems and mission architecture, advanced manufacturing, robotics, rendezvous and proximity operations, and simulations.



  • Undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate students studying engineering of relevant disciplines

  • Strong research and organization skills

  • Must exhibit strong problem-solving skills 

  • Strong communication skills and good team work, team-oriented

  • General Space background/industry knowledge

  • Preferred knowledge of satellite systems and on-orbit servicing

  • Have a self-starter attitude and initiative

  • Not afraid to ask questions

  • Able to perform in high-stress environments/situations


Required skills:


  • SolidWorks

  • MATLAB (intermediate skill level preferred)

  • Other coding proficiency - Rust, Python, C/C++

  • Experience with embedded systems

  • Hardware and software testing, test documentation, setup, and operation
